Healthy Food & Forest Health
Farming in and amongst a high altitude Forest Ecology is no simple task. Add yearly wildfire to the picture and simply being in the field, caring for the crops...shall we say, a harrowing experience! We are building partnerships between those who tend the soil, sowing a seasonal crop, and those who manage the forests for biodiversity, fire resiliency, renewable timber, and powerful byproducts.
Without good stewardship we will lose it all; the clean air, the pristine waters, the wildlife and the chance to experience true connection to life, food, & forest.
Prescribed burns and markets for woody biomass are a few ways to reduce the fuel loads and potential for catastrophic fire incidents. We are amazed with new policy, people, groups and initiatives to care for our food production and forest ecosystems. Here are just a few. We hope the list grows everyday.

We loved delivering the freshest, ready-to-harvest fruits, flowers, herbs, and vegetables along with special select home goods and gifts to Quincy. The additions of products and crafts from our locals supported our PLUMAS GROWN economy and makes each box fun to open. We are adding bulk supply to our deliveries so you can get everything you need in any amount from verified sources at the best price!
